During Covid times I created an offer to try and help couples with the finance struggles that were going on, that's when I first started chatting to Hannah & Ryan. I knew from the get go that they were a lovely couple, but it wasn't until 2021 that we finally had a chance to meet and chat over their big day that we clicked.
In between this time we had their engagement shoot in the gorgeous autumn tones and I also saw them again to have a maternity shoot, so we were able to keep chatting over their plans and get excited for the day together.
Come June 2022 and it was finally the big day! Initially I arrived to Parley Manor and was greeted by drizzly rain, this isn't an issue for me, rain can make for some pretty awesome photos. But, of course, no one really wants rain on their wedding day. The bride and her bridesmaids were fully in to getting ready mode with make up being done by Jacob and their hair by SLA Couture, this gave me time to snap some detail shots, especially the lovely tributes to Hannah's mum.
Fortunately by the time they were ready to walk over to the ceremony marquee the rain had decided to take a break - little did we know for the rest of the day! My second photographer Phoebe had in the meantime been getting the guests arrival and the ceremony marquee. After a very gorgeous ceremony, we then went on to capture the confetti shot and a group shot of all the guests. Hannah had requested balloons to do a tribute for her mum so we were able to do the release after the large group shot. Once we'd finished the group shots and the couple had some time to mingle, I then took them away for a short time to get some photos of them together, whilst the staff at Parley begun to get everyone ordered in to the main marquee ready for the wedding breakfast.
Once the new Mr & Mrs Shinn had been announced they went on to have a lovely hog roast meal with cold salads, which was perfect seeing the weather turned out so beautiful and warm in the end. After the meal we were then treated to the speeches, I say treated because Hannah's dad did the most unique way I've seen yet. During his speech he included songs so the lyrics would help the words to his speech - it's very hard to explain without video, but trust me he got plenty of laughs!
When desserts were finished people began to enjoy chatting, play the outdoor games and have a few more drinks, all of which made for some great candid photos. Before we knew it the evening guests began to arrive and it was time to cut the cake and the first dance. And just like that, the party had begun! I have to say, these guys really knew how to party! Some of my favourite evening shots are from this wedding, once drinks have begun flowing and you've got people who want to have a good time, it's perfect blend! Before the sun had it's chance to completely set I took the happy couple off for a few more photos, which we were so lucky with the gardens at Parley! I honestly loved working there, the staff were beyond helpful and the location was just so beautiful, with so many different back drops to choose from. With it being the summer there were so many gorgeous colours from the flowers, as well as some other beautiful spots with natural brickwork and the archway with fairy lights. I then ventured back inside for some final shots of people dancing, and to finish we had some sparklers which was a wonderful end to the perfect day.
